LOS ANGELES, Calif., February 2, 2024 — The two new types of stone diffuser will be introduced at NY NOW Winter 2024. The Pottery Stone Diffuser collection started off with three shapes: round, angular, and oval shapes, based on the shapes found in nature. Later, inspired by the two new shapes of stones found at the beach in Southern California, the Shigaraki-ware potters of the pottery stone diffusers called these shapes, "bean" and "moon.” The “bean” stone has a natural, mild dent, envisioning a story of abrasion caused by the sea waves over a long period of time. The “moon” stone shows elegantly relaxing curves like a crescent moon.

Moreover, a new color was added to the “Kohgou Hinoki Plate Diffuser” collection, a 3-piece Hasami porcelain diffuser container with a hinoki plate inside. With the same natural form, the deep green color of Kohgou highlights the bright wood grain color of hinoki.
“Kohgou'' is named after a traditional term for a small lid that was used to store important items such as fragrant wood since the ancient times. The collection works are Saga and Hizen Yoshida-ware that uses an unconfined manufacturing method of porcelain that does not follow the traditional techniques and styles.
